My wife Kristin Ward and I, Jeff Ward want to run for royalty. I am from Marshfield MO and Kristin is from McHenry IL. We currently reside in Willard MO. 

My greatest joy in being a musician is watching other guitar players enjoying what I am doing and for me to help keep our fans entertained. Kristin’s favorite joy in music is singing challenging songs and having the fans participate and sing along. 

My favorite prom song is Babe by Styx. Kristin’s favorite prom song is Purple Rain by Prince.

I have attended Springfield Prom a couple of times. Kristin has yet to attend.

I’m from Camdenton Mo. (Lake of the Ozarks’s) home of the Lakers.I have been in Springfield Missouri since 1998 when I moved here for college and SMSU. Go bears !

My greatest joy of being a musician was getting to do what I loved on the side and just sing my face off and dance and play that guitar !! Omg I literally put everything into every show . We played downtown for 10 years at Trolleys, bar next door , Springfield brew co on the regular . But then started playing in the summers at lake of the Ozarks . Topsider and Captain Ron’s . I started a band in 2001 we were called “Reinhart and friends” cause we never knew who was gonna be available . So it was who ever could make the show and play along . The band turned inti “Sounds Good” we cut an album of our favorite covers around 2012 I believe and then hung it up and joined a local Rap / Rock group called OvaFlow had a lot of fun singing with them for a couple of years . Shot a music video and had lots of live shows and had an awesome song called “Free Your Mind “ on the radio . Chuck Dow deserves all that. He wrote a beautiful song and I just joined along for the ride . That was the end of my music career and I feel lucky to have done it for a good amount of time . Hi, I’m Meagen Duran, and I’m excited to be running for Prom Royalty! I’m proud to call Republic, MO, my home, where I’ve lived most of my life. My Senior Prom song back in 1998 was “Nice and Slow” by Usher—talk about a classic!

For the past 10 years, I’ve been a Mortgage Lender at Mid-Missouri Bank, where I love being part of a community bank that truly gives back. When I’m not helping people achieve their homeownership dreams, you’ll find me cheering on my 15-year-old in every sport imaginable, hosting themed parties with our best friends, working on the farm, or camping with my family.

I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 18 years, and while I’ve never attended a Springfield Prom, I’ve always admired the incredible pictures and the meaning behind this event.
